For Kenyans living abroad
Important plans at home should not depend on endless calls, uncertain updates or unverified promises. O&J provides structured oversight, sourcing and coordination so you remain informed and in control from wherever you are.
What we coordinate
Every request is reviewed before acceptance. We take on work only when the scope can be handled responsibly and documented clearly.
Scheduled site visits, contractor coordination, progress verification and documented reporting.
Product sourcing, quotation comparison, approved purchasing and verified delivery.
Inspections, maintenance coordination and practical follow-through through suitable providers.
Approved purchases, vendor coordination and on-the-ground support for important family needs.
A controlled starting point
Clear boundaries protect the client, the budget and the result. Bespoke requests are scoped only after an initial conversation.
One physical visit with observations, photo or video evidence and a concise written report.
Scheduled inspections, milestone tracking and ongoing updates against an agreed scope.
Approved sourcing, vendor communication, delivery follow-through and documented closeout.
Our role: O&J acts as your independent coordination and verification partner. Construction, legal, financial and other regulated or technical work remains with appropriately qualified providers.

Our operating standard
Our founding model works with selected tailoring specialists while Ombati & James owns the consultation, specification, client record, inspection and final delivery.
06 / The process
We understand the role, occasion, preferences and working wardrobe before recommending a garment.
A private workplace or scheduled fitting captures the details needed for comfort and proportion.
Approved tailoring partners produce each suit to our specification under documented quality standards.
We inspect, fit and make necessary adjustments before the wardrobe enters service.
07 / The founder
James Ombati founded Ombati & James around a simple conviction: professional clothing should help working leaders feel prepared, not perform wealth.
A Kenyan entrepreneur with more than five years of experience living in the United States, James understands both the service standards diaspora clients expect and the difficulty of coordinating important needs from abroad. He founded Ombati & James to bring clearer communication, stronger follow-through and documented accountability to clients in Kenya and overseas.
His background includes four years as a manager at a US healthcare facility, where responsibility, team coordination and service quality are part of everyday leadership. He is also a Google-certified digital marketing and e-commerce specialist.
James brings these experiences together around a practical commitment: honest guidance, personal attention and accountability from the first consultation to the final fitting, delivery or project report.
Founding beliefPresence should never be accidental. It should reflect the responsibility you are ready to carry.

Speak with the founder08 / What we protect
A smaller wardrobe that works is more valuable than a crowded one that does not.
Recommendations must serve the client’s real role, use and budget.
The client deals with one responsible company from measurement to final delivery.
We expand products and production only when quality can follow.
09 / Before you begin
We begin with a consultation about your role, occasion, preferences and budget. Measurements and garment specifications follow only after the direction is clear.
Yes. Workplace and scheduled private fittings are central to the service model, subject to appointment availability and location.
Yes. Schools, churches and companies can request a coordinated program covering design direction, group measurements, production oversight and delivery.
The founding service prioritizes complete wardrobes. Ties, belts, socks, footwear, watches, hats and essential basics may be sourced by request, with priority given to established clothing clients.
The delivery commitment will be confirmed during consultation because cloth availability, garment complexity, alterations and group volume affect the schedule.
Each accepted request begins with a written scope and quotation. Purchases require client approval, and agreed work is supported by receipts, photographs, video or milestone reports as appropriate.
No. Every request is reviewed for legality, risk and operational fit. O&J coordinates and verifies approved work, while regulated or technical services must be completed by appropriately qualified providers.
